Sylvan Ramble Lights-Veterans Day Light Show | Nov. 9 – Nov. 11 | 8:30 p.m . – 8:50 p.m.

For this free 3 night event, see red, white and blue lights dance to music at Sylvan Ramble Lights.

 

Ride4RHS Veterans Day | Nov. 10 | 7 a.m. – 2 p.m.

This event is a benefit cycle ride to raise funds to support local active military, veterans and wounded heroes. Following the race will be lunch and live music.

 

Veterans Day Parade & Classic Car Cruise In | Nov. 10 | 9 a.m. – 12n

The City of Zephyrhills and Main Street Zephyrhills Inc. honors veterans and active duty service members with this event.

 

Veterans Day Parade | Nov. 10 | 10 a.m.

James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital will host its annual Veterans Day Parade on the hospital campus’ Richard Silver Way. This year’s parade route has been shortened due to the Bed Tower construction project, so the viewing stands will be across Richard Silver Way in front of the Spinal Cord Injury/Polytrauma building.

 

Veterans Day Memorial Ceremony & Parade | Nov. 10 | 10 a.m.

The Polk County Veterans Council will be conducting its annual free Veterans Day Ceremony at Lakeland’s Veterans Memorial Park. A parade will follow the ceremony. The Veterans Council has selected as this year’s theme a tribute to James Henry Mills, a Fort Meade native and the only Polk County soldier to ever receive the Congressional Medal of Honor.

 

Tampa Bay Veterans Day Parade | Nov. 10 | 10 a.m. – 12n

This is a parade and community festival with games and food provided by local restaurants at Morgan Woods Elementary School.

 

Veterans Day Barbecue | Nov. 10 | 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Community members who currently serve or have served in the military are invited to attend the second annual barbecue event at Veterans Elementary School.

 

City of St. Petersburg Veterans Day Celebration | Nov. 11 | 8 a.m.

Mayor Rick Kriseman will celebrate Veterans Day by presenting awards to distinguished local veterans. Students from the Gibbs High School Pinellas County Center for the Arts will perform the National Anthem and the event will be followed by a complimentary breakfast.

 

Bok Tower Veterans Day Concert | Nov. 11 | 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.

Free admission to this concert is being offered to all branches of the military: active, retired, and disabled veterans with valid ID. Included with general admission or membership.

 

Florida State Parks | Nov. 11

Entry into some state and national parks will be free for veterans and the general public in honor of Veterans Days.

 

Veterans Day at Idea Lab Kids | Nov. 12 | 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Idea Lab Kids will hold a “No School Day Camp,” with STEM activities planned for children ages 3-13. This class is $60 for the whole day.
