Fireworks Downtown Tampa | July 4 | 9-10 p.m.
Due to construction at Channelside, downtown Tampa’s fireworks move to the Tampa Convention Center, bringing good viewing areas all along the Riverwalk. Free.

Busch Gardens | July 4 | 10 a.m.-11 p.m.
Busch Gardens celebrates with thrill rides, dance party zones and an extended fireworks display. The park remains open until 11 p.m. Included with admission: $104, 2 and younger free.

American Victory Ship Family Funfest | July 4 | :30-9:30 p.m.
The AmVic holiday family festival features DJ dancing, games, face painting, arts and crafts, food, contests, giveaways and fireworks viewing from the deck of the former WWII supply ship. Plan early. This usually sells out. $13, $7 ages 4-12, 3 and younger free, $10 military/veterans.

Tampa Red, White and Blue Festival | July 4 | 2-7 p.m.
Celebrate the Tampa Red, White and Blue Festival at Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park with live mixed music, arts and crafts, food vendors, Family Feud contest, a most patriotic dressed competition, magic and Uncle Sam on stilts. Free.

Fourth of July at Glazer | July 4 | 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
The Glazer Children’s Museum celebrates with $4 general admission, and free admission for active military, all day. $4.

The History Center | July 4 | 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
Tampa Bay History Center celebrates with free or $5 admission and extended hours. Costumed re-enactors will share hands-on displays of artifacts, uniforms, crafts and music representing the Civil-War, Seminole War, Spanish American War, and WWII-era soldiers, sailors and citizens. Historical interpreters will depict early European explorers and 18th-century pirates. Admission includes a tour of the American Flags: The Stars and Stripes in American History and Culture exhibit. $5, free for Bank of America cardholders.

Tampa Tarpons Game | July 4 | 6:30 p.m.
Players and coaches wear custom jerseys to be auctioned off during the game. Stick around for post-game fireworks at George M. Steinbrenner Field. $5-$8.

Bradley’s Drag Party | July 3 | 10 p.m.-3 a.m.
Everything is red, white and blue at Bradley’s on 7th, with dancing to music by DJ’s Charles Machado and Steve Vaughn and patriotic-themed drag shows featuring Joey Brooks, Kori Stevens and special guest Jaeda Fuentes (11:10 p.m. and 1:15 a.m.). No cover.

Independent Independence Day Dance Party | July 3 | 8 p.m.
Wear red if you’re single, white if you’re taken and blue if ‘it’s complicated’ for this dance with a hot dog eating contest for cash prizes and special guest bartender Eddie Teti at O’Brien’s Irish Pub of Brandon. No cover.

Pebble Creek Scramble | July 4 | 8:30 a.m.
Teams of two select which six holes to play in the red, white and blue format, shotgun start tournament with on-course contests, a barbecue buffet, drink specials, raffles and prizes at Pebble Creek Golf Club. $45, $25 members.

Tampa Bay Dance Club Party | June 29 | 7:30 p.m.
Ages 45 and older are invited to dress in patriotic attire for this Senior American Bandstand dance with music by George Martin at the Tampa Bay Dance Club. $12, $10 members.

American Social | July 4 | 9 p.m.
With a view of the Tampa fireworks, this party will have patriotic decor, framed magazine covers representing moments in American history and food/drink specials at American Social Bar and Kitchen. No cover. Reservations recommended.

Holiday Cruises | July 4 | 6-9:30 p.m. | 7-9 p.m. | 7:30-9:15 p.m.
